Wall Signs: Six Types, and What Each One Is For
Every wall type needs a different build. Pick the one that matches your wall, your light and your budget.
Acrylic Wall Signs
Acrylic sheet, laser cut and UV printed flat. Edges polish clear and the colours stay sharp. Reception and meeting room walls use it most.
Metal 3D Wall Letters
Stainless or titanium letters, brushed or mirror polished. Returns are welded, so depth reads from the side. Brand stores and showrooms pick this finish.
3D dimensional
Thicker letters stacked up in two layers. The second layer throws a real shadow. Feature walls and photo backdrops get the most depth here.
Neon Wall Signs
Silicone neon tube bent to your shape. It runs on low voltage and stays cool. Shopfronts, bars and social-media walls light up after dark.
Flat Panel Wall Plaques
A flat face on an acrylic back panel. The print sits flush, so nothing catches light. Door plates and company name boards use this.
Backlit Wall Letters
LED modules sit behind each metal letter. Light spills onto the wall as a soft halo. Hotels and private club lobbies choose this effect.
Custom Wall Signs: Every Detail You Can Set
Nothing here comes off a shelf. Every wall sign we ship is cut to one drawing — yours.
Logo Signs for Wall
Send any artwork: wordmark, symbol or both. Chinese, English and other scripts all cut and print clean. We engrave, print or build your logo.
Size, Depth and Shape
Set the width, height and how far it stands off. Thickness is yours to choose, panel or sheet. Irregular outlines cut to your drawing.
Colour Matching
Tell us your brand colour and we mix it. We send a sample before the run starts. Metal takes mirror, brushed, painted or plated.
Fixings and Packing
Standoff posts, back plates and screws come in the carton. Light signs ship with adhesive already fitted. Every part is numbered against your drawing.
Six Wall Sign Materials and Where Each Fits
Material decides how a wall sign looks, weighs and hangs. Here are the six we cut most often.
Acrylic
Clear acrylic takes UV print straight on the face. It is the lightest panel we cut. Reception and indoor feature walls use it most.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel comes brushed, mirror, titanium or gold. Letters are welded, so side returns stay sharp. Hotels and storefronts use it inside and out.
Brass and Copper
Brass and copper returns give a warm gold tone. We can plate stainless to the same colour. Lobbies use it for gold brand walls.
PVC
PVC cuts fast and takes paint well. It is our lowest-cost panel per square metre. Use it indoors, where sun and rain never reach.
Aluminium Profile
Aluminium profile builds a rigid frame without weight. It carries back panels and light box bodies. Long runs stay straight across a wide wall.
Silicone Neon
Silicone neon is a flexible tube, bent to shape. It lights evenly with no dark spots. Bars and brand walls use it after dark.
Wall Sign Finishes: Brushed, Mirror, Paint and UV
| Finish | How we make it | What you get | Best on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brushed | Grain cut one way across the metal face | Matte metal, no fingerprints, low glare | Stainless and aluminium letters |
| Mirror Polished | Face polished until it reflects the room | Full reflection, doubles the light in a lobby | Lobby logos, reception walls |
| Powder Coated | Powder sprayed on, then baked | Even flat colour, no brush marks, brand colour matched to a sample | Solid-colour letters and frames |
| UV Printed | Ink printed onto the panel, cured under UV | Photos, gradients and full-colour artwork hold detail | Acrylic panels, photo artwork |
| Electroplated | Metal plated in gold, copper or rose gold | Warm metal tone over a lighter base | Hotels, gold brand walls |
Typical reference configurations only. Final finish, thickness, electrical components and mounting are confirmed by approved drawings, sign size, installation height, climate and applicable local requirements.
How We Build Your Wall Signs: Five Steps
From file to carton, every step happens inside our Dongguan workshop. You see photos at each gate before we move on.
Send your logo, font, or sketch in any format. Our team turns it into a production-ready file. You approve the layout before we cut.
We pick the sheet from your confirmed material. Acrylic, steel, brass, PVC, or neon, cut to the right thickness. Nothing starts without your sign-off.
A CNC router or laser cuts each letter to shape. Returns are bent, welded, and ground smooth. Every joint is checked before it moves on.
Brushed, mirror, painted, or plated to your spec. For lit letters, LED modules go in and circuits are aged-tested. Finish is checked against your sample.
Each sign is wiped, measured, and photographed. Pearl cotton and reinforced carton or crate, packed for sea freight. You get photos before it ships.
Built Inside the Hicen Wall Sign Factory

FAQ
What do I need to send to get a quote on wall signs?
Send your logo file, the wall dimensions, and a photo of the wall. Tell us indoor or outdoor, and whether the sign needs lighting. We reply with a line-itemed quote and a drawing.
How long does a custom wall sign order take?
Samples ship in three to five days. Production runs five to seven days after you approve the sample. Freight time depends on your destination and shipping method.
What is the minimum order for wall signs?
One piece. We fabricate to your specification, not to a stock size. Larger batches share one approved drawing, which lowers the unit cost.
Can I see a sample before placing a full order?
Yes. We build a physical sample and ship it in three to five days. You approve the material, finish and colour before production starts.
What materials can you make wall signs from?
Acrylic, stainless steel, brass and copper, PVC, aluminium profile, and silicone neon. Each suits a different budget, weight and lighting setup. We recommend one after seeing your wall.
How do I choose the right wall sign type?
Start with the wall and the viewing distance. Flat plaques suit corridors and doorways. Dimensional or lit letters suit reception walls and building fronts.
How tall should my wall letters be?
Letter height follows viewing distance. A rough rule is 25 mm of letter height per metre of viewing distance. Send the distance and we size the letters for you.
What finishes are available for wall signs?
Brushed, mirror polished, powder coated, painted, electroplated, and UV printed. Brushed and painted hide fingerprints best. Mirror and plated finishes show every touch.
